Full Comprehensive Description : |
Adventure Alternatives can design a program which best meets the needs of your group through the diverse range of programs we provide. The range of program falls into two simple classifications: Multi day: expedition & centre based programs (commonly known as "School Camps"), Single day: life skill "themed" programs based either at your school or local park land. Multi day programs..."School Camp" Apart from Adventure Alternatives' education centre at Woodford ("Cooinda") we also can run programs in a number of locations throughout SE Qld and Nth NSW. We run this mobile service, to allow our clients to receive the best service we can provide. By allowing our business to roam to other locations, we assess the most appropriate location for individual school needs. Some of these locations include: Moreton Island, Numinbah Valley, Lake Perseverance, Camp Currimundi, Mt Barney NP as well as five day Mt Bike treks. Programs can be extent for 3, 5 or 9 day duration and range from centre based to expedition style camps. The choice is dependant on your school's desired program needs and outcomes. Some of the activities which can be delivered include; Mt Biking, Hiking, High Ropes, Low Ropes, Flying Fox, Giant Swing, Environmental Education, Canoeing, Initiative and Problem Solving activities, Raft Building, Rock Climbing and Abseiling... the list is almost endless... we are only limited by our imagination so please ask if you would like to see something special in your next program. We are happy to completely design your school camp including food, transport, equipment and facility with involvement from teachers. Or alternatively, we can just be contracted to deliver the "Adventure" portion of the program... either way, we are more then happy to work to your budget and desired outcomes. Single day life skill "themed" programs These are essentially themed along the Leadership, Teamwork, Communication, Cooperation, Emotional Intelligence, Anti Bullying and Real Women themes. Single day programs can be delivered with or without adventure activities, the majority of clients like these "themes" delivered as part of an initiative and problem solving rotation day. Some of the activities which can be done as a single day program include: High & Low ropes, Rock Climbing & Abseiling, Canoeing, City Cycle tour, Initiative & Problem Solving (depending on group sizes and time frames). We can run the single day programs onsite at Cooinda, your school, a Park lands close to your school, Kangaroo Point, Riverglenn Conference Centre, JC Slaughter Falls or any other location which can hold your size group & has the right facilities. Please contact us on 0412 485 582 to discuss your next School Camp
