Full Comprehensive Description :

Camp Wilkin is a property of the Baptist Union of Victoria under the management of the Camp Committee.Our vision is to show God’s love in a caring environment.Our mission is to Baptist churches and all other churches, school and community groups.

Providing quality facilities, program experiences,caring Christian staff and with a relaxed atmosphere. Situated just off the Great Ocean Road on the corner of Noble Street and Golf Links Road.

The Camp is just 1.2 km from the Anglesea shopping centre, and a similar distance from the main surf beach; a safer beach for the younger children is 3km at Point Roadknight.

Anglesea is located 112 km from Melbourne via Geelong, and is located along the Great Ocean Road. The Camp property covers approximately 6.5 hectares.

Camp Facilities

Camp Wilkin accommodates up to 161 people in 35 heated rooms with cluster ensuites, sleeping between three to seven people with one unit specifically set up for wheel chair use. Most of our beds are bunks with a pillow on each bed. Cots (3) and blankets are available on request.

All back rooms have double beds or can be made into double beds.For health and safety of the hire group, the number of campers sleeping per room must not exceed the number of beds.

Campers are required to keep rooms in a clean condition during their stay. Notices of any kind should be placed on windows.

What to bring: - Sleeping bags or bed linen, towels, toiletries, personal needs and torch - Linen may be hired at a cost with adequate notice.

Rooms will be allocated on the ‘Hire of Camp’ form one month prior to camp.

Camp Programming

Camp Wilkin offers a range of programming tailored to meet your needs. This could be sessional or writing up your full program.

All designed to help you take full advantage of both the camp setting and the wider coastal environment.

Dean Lobbe has worked with many different groups in ministry from camping to children at risk programs and we are lucky to have his experience to lead our programming staff, which include our new 12 WATTS internship program. Our programs are tailor made for the needs of the group and Tegan Caldwell heads up organising our programs for all groups.
