Full Comprehensive Description : |
CERES Community Environment Park is an inspiring four-hectare visitor centre on the banks of the Merri Creek. Our unique community atmosphere and natural surrounds can be found only 5km from the centre of Melbourne. CERES initiates and supports environmental sustainability and social equity, with an emphasis on cultural richness and community participation. CERES Education Team provides education programs at CERES for early childhood, primary, secondary, tertiary and adult groups. Choose from half-day or full-day programs, and bring single classes or whole year levels. All programs include hands-on experiential activities, and are delivered by specialist teachers who spend the whole program time with the students. Refer to our website for information about links with VELS, VCE and CSF. For detailed program flyers visit www.ceres.org.au or phone CERES Education on 03 9387 4472 “The teachers were informative and insightful, Compassionate and passionate about the world around us. The students were really stimulated by the program which enabled the students to imagine themselves in particular situations – hopefully adding a great empathy for other cultures and our planet.” Year 9/10 Teacher, St Catherine’s School Integrate your program at CERES into a Sustainable Schools program in your school.
