Great for School Camps, Groups or just for that weekend away
Located 105 km south of Perth CBD, Dwellingup is a small milling town, nestled among some of Western Australia's finest jarrah forests, flanked by the Murray river.
Dwellingup Bunkhouses is a purpose built outdoor adventure camp, set on 12 acres. It consists of two separate bunkhouses capable of sleeping 28 people each, in bunks. Each Bunkhouse comes complete with two showers, two toilets, a kitchen and an open area with a potbelly wood fire. To enjoy the camp facilities an additional ablution block and a 10 bed bunkroom are also available. There is also room for up to 30 campers in tents. A large dining / recreation room is available for large groups.
Accommodation
- Chalet Hire - 2 Bedroom self contained cottage sleeps 10 $30 per person per night. Minimun charge of $150 per night.
- Bunkhouse Hire - Large self contained Dormitories sleep 22 upstairs with room for 6 more downstairs. $30 per person per night. Minimum charge of $300 per night.
- ENTIRE CAMP HIRE - Get exclusive use of the whole camp for birthdays, weddings or just to relax with the whole family for the set rate of $1500 per night. Minimum 2 night booking.
All accommodation has kitchens with ovens, fridges, microwaves, basic pots/pans and cutlery.
Mattress and pillow provided PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LINEN
- Cubby Hire - For those who don’t mind roughing it. Donga type accommodation, one room, sleeps 12 in bunks, no kitchen facilities, has a freestanding ablution block next to it.
Catering
Cook for yourself in our self contained premises, use the free BBQ facilities or have us cater for you. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner packages start from $30 per person.
The Freebies
- Trampolines always in season. Very popular with the kids.
- BMX tracks - One around the lake and one in the bush. Never out of action. Guaranteed to tire out the most active child. Remember to bring down your own BMX bikes and Mountain bikes, as there are many bush tracks available to ride or hire one of ours at a cost of $15.00 per day (BYO Helmets).
- Blake's Lake - seasonal - August-December. The lake has a couple of old canoes for your enjoyment.
- Confidence Course - The course has 9 obstacles and they demand balance and skill. Do you have what it takes?
- Bush walking - Stroll along the many tracks that lead from the camp and take you through the state forest.
ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES INSTRUCTED (Booking essential)
- Abseiling and Rock climbing - Scared of heights/ let us fix that with a session of flying fox, abseiling and rock climbing on our purpose built wall. Prices include instructors, equipment and tower hire.
1/2 day 3hr session $550
- Canoeing/Rafting - Head down the Murray River, for a quiet paddle or if the waters up go rushing down the white water. Prices include instructors, equipment and transport to and from the river. ( max group sizes apply )

- Flying Fox, Archery, Mountain Biking, BMX, Orienteering - Prices include instructors and equipment.

- Paintball Target shooting - New to Dwellingup Have a shot or 100 shots at the target range. 100 rounds $20.00. Ideal for the family as you can fire 20 rounds each or buy more if you want.
- Paintball Skirmishing - Play the sport of Paintball Packages start at $30 per person
INSTRUCTOR HIRE (Bookings essential)
Hire an instructor to take you bush walking and show you the sites or run the kids through the confidence course or teach them some fun tricks on the trampolines so they fall asleep early, leaving you to enjoy those Dwellingup nights in peace..

Arts 'ignored' in national curriculum

WA mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse starts
Children in WA will be better protected with doctors, nurses, teachers, police officers and midwives now required under law to report in writing suspicions of child sexual abuse.
New legislation governing the mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse will result in those who fail to report concerns to the Department for Child Protection facing a fine. WA Minister for Child Protection, 1 January 2009.
Homework is fun on an iPod touch
A pilot program in which teenagers used iPods for school work has increased attendance and enthusiasm for homework.
