Full Comprehensive Description :

Mt Cathedral Lodge has cabin accommodation for up to 60 people. There are 4 self-contained cabins, 4 group cabins and a four bedroom house available. The group cabins accommodate those using the commercial kitchen.

We have a large log-cabin style dining / recreation room and a commercial kitchen. The dining / recreation room has TV, a video, an open fire and table tennis. The commercial kitchen also contains a gas stove, an electric stove, a large fridge, a microwave oven and a gas griller. All crockery, cutlery, saucepans, cooking utensils and baking trays are supplied. The kitchen is available for self-catered group, as well as fully catered groups.

Accomodation

The house has four bedrooms (3 x 3, 1 x 6 – all single beds and bunks, lounge changes to double bed and 1 x single), plus 1 room double bed, toilets, 2 showers, a lounge room with TV and gas heating and a fully equipped kitchen plus microwave.
 
The self-contained cabins have a double bed in each, plus single and bunk beds. Kitchens, plus microwaves are included. The group cabins accommodate 7 people in each.
 
All cabins have their own bathroom facilities and heating is provided. Please note guests need to bring their own sheets and blankets or sleeping bags. Pillows, pillow cases and fitted sheets are provided as well as tea towels and dish detergent.
 

Facilities

The outside facilities consist of: a swimming pool (summer only), 3 trampoline, a covered gas BBQ, a volleyball court and various playground equipment. The camp is set on 7 acres and includes natural bushland.
 

Location

We are situated at the base of Mt cathedral, halfway between the townships of Buxton and Taggerty, on the Maroondah highway (105 kms from Melbourne).
 

Things to do

We are in close proximity to Marysville, Lake Mountain Snowfields, Buxton, Taggerty, Alexandra, Eildon Weir, horse riding, Cathedral State Park, bushwalking, rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing, rafting, galleries, museums, fishing and golf. Lake Mountain has cross country skiing and Marysville has a great walk to the natural waterfalls, which is quite a sight! Come and see our spectacular birds, Parakeets, Rosellas and Crowned Cockatoos, they all feed during the day.

Microwaves, TVs, heating for those cosy nights have already been put in place. The children and adults have room to move and are safe within the boundaries of the property.

Small dogs allowed, limited alcohol allowed, no smoking in buildings.

So a weekend away will give you an enjoyable stay!
