Musica Viva In Schools provides primary and secondary schools with concerts, workshops, professional development for teachers and Australian Music Days. Residencies consisting of a musician or a composer coming to your school for a week to work closely with your students is available for primary schools also. Your students will experience a variety of music played by professional musicians who are committed to sharing their knowledge and passion for music. Each concert is tailor-made for your students, based on the students' level of preparation. Our musicians visit your school to deliver a highly interactive hour-long performance. Your students will have the up close experience of engaging with professional musicians performing a range of musical styles. We provide teachers with highly participatory Professional Development courses in your region, a set of tailor made resources written by leading music educators and an accompanying CD. Participating teachers are provided with the necessary skills to ensure students gain maximum benefit from their concert epxeriences. |
