Sydney’s only school in the sky

If you are looking for a unique venue for your students to visualise their studies, Sydney Tower + OzTrek offers two unique attractions for the price of one.

The Observation Deck of Sydney Tower at Centrepoint is the highest point above Sydney, with spectacular views to the Blue Mountains, the Central Coast and the Royal National Park. School groups can enjoy a bird’s eye view of Sydney’s historic landmarks including Botany Bay, Sydney Harbour and the Macquarie Street precinct. With the spectacular views in all directions, students can easily imagine the journey of the First Fleet from the initial landing at Botany Bay; the reasons for choosing the harbour as the site for the infant colony; Farm Cove and the challenges facing the  development of the settlement in its early years. Older students can assess the impact of urban development on the environment.

Plus, your ticket to the top includes entry to OzTrek, the largest simulated ride in Australia, where students travel on a virtual journey across the country, strapped safely into real-motion seating, with 180-degree cinema screens, 3D technology & multiple special effects. Land on the deck of the Endeavour, fly across our wide inlands to muster cattle by helicopter, encounter crocs and kangaroos, go down a mine at Ballarat, and bounce down the wild white waters of the Tully River in tropical north Queensland!

All this from an accessible and convenient location in the heart of the city, offering ideal proximity to other educational landmarks.

New excursion programs offer:

  • enquiry and research based learning (including 'Research Action Plan')
