Full Comprehensive Description :

1. 1/2 and full buckets of sapphire where we teach the children to recognize sapphires and zircons. 2. Facetting demonstration showing them quickly what is done with a good stone if you found one. 3. Gemfield tour is Neil Boards the coach and does a commentary over through Sapphire and onto Rubyvale, explaining what they are seeing, about the large sapphires found in the area, and some history. 4. Supply lunch or help with heating of hot dogs etc. 5.Large shaded picnic area for 100 people. 6. Specking on our claim is where on the gemfield tour we take the children and scatter some sapphire on the ground and allow them to find it (specking). |
