Full Comprehensive Description :

Timetabling Solutions develops, sells and supports 'The Timetabler', the most powerful and flexible school timetabling software package.

We also provide consulting services and custom timetable solutions to meet any school's requirements.  With more than a thousand timetables constructed by our consultants, Timetabling Solutions is the premier source for timetabling services worldwide.

Services:

Timetable Construction - Outsource Mode (Clash Free)

Outsourcing the construction of your clash free timetable is both a time and a cost efficient means of ensuring the best timetable for your particular requirements.  It saves time and effort and frees senior personnel to focus on roles for which they are trained.

Our consultants are highly skilled and experienced in all types of timetables.  They have successfully constructed hundreds of timetables for schools.  Their knowledge of curriculum and timetabling constraints is unique.

Our processes for constructing a clash free timetable ensures that we understand your requirements completely before construction begins and provides you with a detailed report upon completion.

We provide three options for outsourcing constructions:

  • Option 1.  We construct your timetable according to your constraints, the school provides the staff loads and student grid lines.
  • Option 2.  We set up your student grid lines, and construct your timetable according to your constraints, the school provides the staff loads.
  • Option 3.  We set up your student grid lines, modify/complete the final staffing and construct your timetable according to your constraints.

The fee is based upon our estimate of the time required to construct a clash free timetable according to your data and constraints agreed to at Sign Off.  Clients are provided with a written quote with a fixed price range prior to the commencement of the construction.

To construct the best possible timetable for your school according to your constraints, allow between 6 and 12 weeks depending upon choice of option and size of school.

Timetable Construction - DIY

As a rule of thumb, the time needed for a senior teacher, experienced in timetabling, to gather data and construct their own school's timetable to start a year is around 30% of the student population in hours.  For example, a school of 600 students would require around 180 person hours.  Changes and extra timetables needed throughout the year require additional person hours.

Timetable Construction - Consultation Mode (Clash Free
)

Many schools bring their timetable data and work with a consultant to finish the construction of their timetable in a few days, the vast majority in less than a week.  An estimate of time needed for your clash free timetable construction is given below.

This service maximises the skill of the consultant with the knowledge and decision making abilities of the client to achieve a great timetable in the minimum of time.  The client decides and takes responsibility for the accuracy of data and priority of all constraints.

All fees are based upon the person days or part thereof used between 9am and 4pm, and are charged at our daily rate.  Time can be extended each day at an hourly rate.

Using the consultation mode, an estimate of the time needed to construct a usable, clash free draft timetable starting from a clean sheet with firm data entered, checked and ready to timetable is two days plus one day per 200 students. [e.g. Five days, 9am to 4pm, for a school of 600 students.]  This estimate of time assumes the school's representative is working with us.  Each day this cannot occur will increase the estimate by an extra day.

If student grid lines for options or elective subjects need creating or recreating, then add approximately one day per year level.

Book early for this very popular service where your senior staff member works alongside one of our experienced consultants.

Obviously, if the school changes a constraint or the data after commencement, allow extra time to reset the parameters and rework the construction.
