Nestled in the quiet Benloch valley, just 82km (1 hour) North of Melbourne (15km from Lancefield) Weekaway aims to provide an experience not only for the time of your stay, but an experience for life.

Weekaway is suitable for all types of groups including schools, churches, conferences, families, clubs and management training. Guest feedback confirms we provide the ideal setting and atmosphere to truly relax. Often guests are sad to leave and wished they could have stayed longer.


Weekaway is proud to be accredited by the Australian Camps Association, Camping with Confidence Accreditation program. Accreditation indicates that we have been independently appraised and meet the core requirements for the safe and reasonable operation of a campsite.

Activities:

Through the combination of indoor and outdoor activities, Weekaway seeks to create a safe, enjoyable and encouraging experience for everyone.

Using a unique program, participants develop skills in communication, teamwork and leadership.

Time spent at Weekaway enhances individual awareness and group responsibility. The learning of new skills and techniques fosters the growth of confidence and knowledge that will serve each participant well beyond the camp experience.

Facilities:

Set on 72 acres of bush and open grassland, Weekaway is equipped with numerous multipurpose facilities that include:

  • Accommodation for 104 people in 20 rooms with bathroom facilities under the same roof-line
  • Further accommodation for 21-24 people in 4 rooms with ensuites
  • Separate Kitchen/Dining Room adjacent to the main Accommodation block
  • BBQ and outdoor eating area
  • Large indoor Recreation Hall
  • Heated Conference/Concert room
  • Drying Room
  • Public telephone
  • Video/DVD facilities
  • Linen provided


Accommodation:

We can accommodate up to 129 people in two separate buildings:

The main Accommodation Building, which is fitted with central ducted heating, sleeps 104 people in 20 rooms with bathroom facilities under the same roofline. The central lounge area is ideal for small meetings, and is heated by a warm log fire.

The second Accommodation Building, or Cottage, is able to sleep an additional 22-25 people in four rooms, with ensuites to each room. It has a central lounge/dining area, T.V. and video facilities, and is heated is with a gas heater.

Staff bedrooms have King size single beds, while other rooms have three bunks, sleeping six. Each bed has its own sheet,� pillow & pillow-slip.� Every room is fitted with a smoke alarm and windows are fitted with flyscreens and curtains.

Improved child protection measures
The Australian Government has appointed a specialist in child protection to investigate ways to improve information sharing within and between jurisdictions as part of its National Child Protection Framework.
